The Township of Hamilton has implemented an alternative dispute resolution program for By-law enforcement. The system is an alternative to the existing provincial courts process that is generally lengthy, costly and challenging. The Administrative Monetary Penalty (AMP) System transfers By-law disputes from the courtroom to the Township using Screening and Hearing Officers who can modify, cancel, or confirm designated penalties. This approach aides in reducing congestion in the courts as well as providing a simplified more local and accessible dispute resolution system.

TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the provisions of By-Law 2017-57, the Provision of Public Notice Policy, 
the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Hamilton intends to pass a by-law to adopt a new 
Procedural By-law at its regular meeting of Tuesday May 19, 2026.

School support designations should be reviewed and, if needed, updated by June 1, 2026, to be accurately included on the Preliminary List of Electors for the election on October 26, 2026. Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Township of Hamilton that nominations for the following offices may be filed in person or by an agent between May 1, 2026 during regular business hours and until August 21, 2026 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (Nomination Day). Residents are invited to participate in the Mayors’ Keep the County Clean Challenge taking place April 19 to 25, 2026, as part of Earth Day activities. Community members can register with the Township to help clean up litter in local neighbourhoods, parks, trails, and roadsides.

A reminder to all residents of the Township of Hamilton that beginning April 1, 2026, daytime burning is not permitted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. seven days a week, including holidays. The Township of Hamilton is pleased to announce it has received $16,000 in funding through the Province of Ontario’s Community Emergency Preparedness Grant (CEPG) to enhance local emergency response capabilities.

Registration is now open for the Township of Hamilton’s 2026 Summer Day Camps! Offering fun, active programming for kids including games, crafts, outdoor play, and more, camps run at the Baltimore Recreation Centre and select weeks at the Bewdley Community Centre. Full-day care and free extended hours are available for added convenience.
