The next municipal election in the Township of Hamilton takes place on Monday, October 26, 2026.
Elections Ontario is now responsible for maintaining the Permanent Register of Electors for Ontario municipal elections. You may access the Elections Ontario Register to Vote Portal for more information and to update your information.

The nomination period for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election is official open as of May 1, 2026.
Individuals interested in running for the offices of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, or Councillor are encouraged to review the requirements and begin the nomination process.
Did you know your school support designation determines which trustee election you can participate in for in the upcoming municipal and school board election? School support designations should be reviewed and, if needed, updated by June 1, 2026, to be accurately included on the Preliminary List of Electors for the election on October 26, 2026. To learn more about school support and update your designation, visit mpac.ca/schoolsupport.
Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Township of Hamilton that nominations for the following offices may be filed in person or by an agent between May 1, 2026 during regular business hours and until August 21, 2026 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (Nomination Day).
