Exciting news at the Baltimore Recreation Centre! Contractors are now on site and have officially started the installation of new walkway lighting around the trail in the park. The work is expected to take a couple of weeks to complete. During this time, we ask that you please use caution around the park and trail areas and follow any posted construction signage or directions.

The Township of Hamilton is inviting families and community members to share their ideas and feedback on a proposed new playground at the Old Camborne School House, Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Drop in anytime between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. to learn more about the proposed playground concepts and share your ideas.

Registration is now open for the Township of Hamilton’s adult recreation programs. With opportunities to build strength, improve flexibility and balance, learn new skills, or simply enjoy some time in the community. Register today and make recreation part of your fall routine!

Residents and facility users are advised that construction work will be taking place at the entrance of the Baltimore Recreation Centre beginning this week. The project will include removal of the existing walkway and installation of a new concrete sidewalk to enhance the safety and accessibility for visitors.

Registration is now open for the Township of Hamilton’s 2026 Summer Day Camps! Offering fun, active programming for kids including games, crafts, outdoor play, and more, camps run at the Baltimore Recreation Centre and select weeks at the Bewdley Community Centre. Full-day care and free extended hours are available for added convenience.

The Township of Hamilton reminds residents and visitors that Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) season runs from April 1 to November 30, with operation permitted on designated roads during daylight hours only. Riders must use approved routes, wear helmets, carry valid insurance, and follow all applicable laws; fines may apply for non-compliance.

This week shines a light on the people and services that keep our community running smoothly every day. Join us for Community Connect Day on Friday, October 17, at the Baltimore Recreation Centre for informational booths, a “Touch-a-Truck” display, free public skating, and fun family activities. Residents can also take part in a Township-wide Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win prizes and follow along online as we spotlight our departments throughout the week. The Township of Hamilton invites residents to review and share their thoughts on the proposed Conceptual Landscape Plans for the future development of the Harwood Waterfront.

A Community Open House, hosted by Basterfield and Associates, was held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Harwood Memorial Hall. Township staff and project consultants were available to answer questions, discuss design concepts, and gather community feedback.

Residents who were unable to attend are encouraged to review the Concept Plans online and submit feedback by email to info@hamiltontownship.ca no later than Thursday, October 24, 2025.
