“Saved by the Beep” - September 28 is Test Your Smoke Alarm Day

The Township of Hamilton is proud to support the annual “Saved by the Beep” campaign, a province-wide initiative that highlights the importance of working smoke alarms in every home.

Saturday, September 28, 2025, residents are encouraged to take a few moments to test all smoke alarms in their homes. Regular testing ensures that alarms are ready to alert you in case of a fire, helping to protect lives and property.

Join the movement by pledging to test your smoke alarms monthly. Visit Saved by the Beep to make your commitment and receive helpful reminders. If you need assistance with testing or installing smoke alarms, the Township's Fire and Emergency services can provide support.
