Public Information Centre: Sackville Bridge Municipal Class Environmental Assessment

The Township of Hamilton is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) with consultants D.M. Wills Associates Limited to explore options for the future of Sackville Bridge, including replacement, rehabilitation, removal or repurposing.

A Public Information Centre (PIC) is being held to share information about the study and hear from residents and other interested members of the public.

Date: Wednesday, October 28, 2026
Times: 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Bewdley Community Centre, 7060 Lake Street, Bewdley

The PIC is an opportunity to:

• Learn about the Environmental Assessment and the options being considered;
• Ask questions of the project team; and
• Share comments, concerns and local information.

No decision about the future of Sackville Bridge will be made at this meeting. The project team will review public input and complete further technical and environmental assessment before a recommendation is made. The timing of next steps will depend on the work required to complete the Environmental Assessment. The Township will provide updates and further opportunities for public input as the study progresses.

Comments and information collected through the study will be maintained on file in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Except for personal information, comments will become part of the public record.
