Opening of Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Season

The Township of Hamilton would like to remind residents and visitors that the Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) season opens annually on April 1.

ORVs are permitted to operate on designated municipal roads from April 1 to November 30, during daylight hours only (dawn to dusk).

As you head out this season, please remember:

• ORVs are only permitted on approved Township roads and designated sections of County roads.
• Helmets and valid insurance are required for all riders.
• Operators must follow all applicable rules under the Highway Traffic Act and municipal by-laws.
• Riding outside permitted dates or hours may result in fines.

The Township encourages all riders to operate safely and respectfully, sharing the road with other users and helping keep our community enjoyable for everyone.
