Minor Variance Application Public Notice - File Number A 08/26

The Committee of Adjustment for the Township of Hamilton has received an application for a minor variance for a parcel of land as follows:

Owner:           Brian Speck and Alicia Hickey

Location:        7051 Beech Street,
                       Part of Lot 35, Concession 8,
                       Township of Hamilton
                       Assessment Roll Number: 1419-000-110-27800-0000

PURPOSE AND EFFECT:

The applicant is proposing the construction of a new porch and addition to the existing single detached dwelling and is seeking relief from:

Section 13.3.2 a) to recognize a minimum front setback of 1.9 metres between front property line and proposed porch instead of the normally required 10 metres.

Section 13.3.2 c) to recognize reduced interior side setback of 1.6 meters for the proposed addition to the existing single detached dwelling, instead of the normally required 3 metres.

Please note that additional information is available from Township of Hamilton, Planning Department between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, at the Municipal Office located at 8285 Majestic Hills Drive, Cobourg, Ontario.

The Committee will be considering the above noted application at its meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. taking place in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office located at 8285 Majestic Hills Drive.
