Minor Variance Application Public Notice - File Number A 07/26

The Committee of Adjustment for the Township of Hamilton has received an application for a minor variance for a parcel of land as follows:

Owner:           Imran Ravi Mohammed

Location:        8007 Taits Beach Road

 Part of Lot 24, Concession 9,
            Township of Hamilton
            Assessment Roll Number: 1419-000-100-10500-0000

PURPOSE AND EFFECT:

The applicant has installed an inground pool and is proposing the construction of an accessory building (boat storage structure) and is seeking relief from:

• Section 5.1.2 a) to permit two accessory structures (inground pool & boat storage building) closer to the street than the principal dwelling. 
• Section 9.3.2 a) to recognize a reduced front setback (boat storage structure) of 1.22 metres instead of the normally required 20 metres. 
• Section 9.3.3 b) to recognize reduced interior side setback of .6 m for the new boat storage structure instead of the normally required 3 metres.

Please note that additional information is available from Township of Hamilton, Planning Department between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, at the Municipal Office located at 8285 Majestic Hills Drive, Cobourg, Ontario.

The Committee will be considering the above noted application at its meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. taking place in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office located at 8285 Majestic Hills Drive.
