Minor Variance Application Public Notice - File Number A 04/26

The Committee of Adjustment for the Township of Hamilton has received an application for a minor variance for a parcel of land as follows:

Owners:         Jonathan and Dawn Jones

Location:        8182 B Dale Road,
                       Part of Lot 22, Concession 3,
                       Township of Hamilton

 Assessment Roll Number: 1419-000-030-58701-0000

Purpose and Effect:

The applicant is proposing to construct a detached accessory building including an additional residential unit and is seeking relief from:

• Section 5.2 p) iii) to permit an additional residential unit with a maximum height of 7.7 metres instead of the normally permitted maximum building height of 5.5 metres; and,
• Section 5.20.1 a), Type A Home Industry to permit a woodworking shop with maximum area of 93 m2 (1000 feet2)

Please note that additional information is available from Township of Hamilton, Planning Department between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, at the Municipal Office located at 8285 Majestic Hills Drive, Cobourg, Ontario.

The Committee will be considering the above noted application at its meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. taking place in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office located at 8285 Majestic Hills Drive.
