  • Notice of Application for Severance - File Number B 07/25

    Take notice that the Committee of Adjustment of the Township of Hamilton will hold a Public Meeting on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Township Office at 8285 Majestic Hills Drive to consider application for severance (file number B 07/25). The application is to sever a surplus farm dwelling on a 0.6 ha lot from an approximately 114 ha agricultural property.

    The Township of Hamilton is pleased to announce Mr. Arnold Bowman as the recipient of the 2025 Senior of the Year Award. Councillor Bruce Buttar presented the award on Council’s behalf during the June 17th Council meeting, where many gathered to celebrate Mr. Bowman’s outstanding contributions and lifelong service to both his country and his community.

    Environment Canada has issued a Special Air Quality Statement for Northumberland County due to wildfire smoke. Residents are encouraged to take precautions to protect their health and stay informed through the HKPR District Health Unit and Environment Canada’s alert services.     Canada Post has announced the possibility of a strike, which may result in delays or disruptions to regular mail service. We would like to remind all residents that it remains your responsibility to ensure that property tax payments are made on time, regardless of any postal service interruptions.

  • Daytime Burning Restriction in Effect

    A reminder to all residents of the Township of Hamilton that beginning April 1, 2025, daytime burning is not permitted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. seven days a week, including holidays.
