We are pleased to advise that effective Friday, August 29, 2025, the Municipal Water Ban will be lifted. Normal water usage under By-Law 2004-28 may now resume.

Open Air Burn Ban Lifted – Effective August 27, 2025
Based on significant rainfall, cooler temperatures and more rain in the forecast the County-wide Open Air Burn Ban has been lifted in Northumberland County, effective immediately.

Take notice that the Council of the Township of Hamilton will hold a Public Meeting on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Township Office at 8285 Majestic Hills Drive to consider proposed application for Zoning By-law Amendment (file no. ZBA 04/25) that applies to lands located at 4108 County Road 18, Part of Lots 15 and 16, Concession 6, Hamilton Township, owned by Crespi Land Development Corporation.

Due to ongoing dry conditions, a Water Ban on all outdoor use is being implemented for all Municipal water supply users, effective immediately.

The Township of Hamilton is continuing its Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Master Plan to assess current water infrastructure, identify system constraints, and plan future upgrades to support growth over the next 20 years. This study follows the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Class EA Approach 1 Master Planning process. Public Information Centre (PIC) No. 2 presents an update on the study, including the identification and evaluation of servicing alternatives and the preferred solution to address water system capacity constraints, particularly within the Creighton Heights system.

Due to extremely dry conditions and deteriorating air quality caused by ongoing wildland fires across Ontario and Manitoba, a County-wide Open Air Burn Ban is being implemented in Northumberland County, including the Township of Hamilton, effective immediately.
