Road Closures

Road closures can happen at any time due to construction, weather, or emergencies. The Township of Hamilton shares road closure notices through Municipal 511, an online tool that provides real-time updates on road conditions across Ontario. We also post updates on our official social media channels.

Current Road Closures

Road Closure - Hircock Road
Hircock Road Reconstruction The closure will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with local traffic access only permitted during this time. The closure and project will run from April 27 2026, through the months of May and June.

Road Closure - Cavan Rd (Canning Rd to County Rd 18)
Cavan Road (From County Road 18 to Canning Road). Closed on Friday June 12, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The closure will not allow through traffic, emergency access only. Crews will be paving the roadway.
