How to Pay Your Property Tax

The Township offers a variety of payment options to help you pay your property taxes on time.

Please let us know if you have changed your mailing address by sending the change of mailing address form to the attention of the Tax Clerk.

Please note that late payments will have a penalty of 1.25% added on the first day of the month following the due date, and on the first day of each calendar month after that. Failure to receive a tax bill does not excuse you from the responsibility for payment.

Payment Options

Property tax payments can be made at your local financial institution. Please remember to bring your property tax bill to the bank with you.

Important Note: Payments should be made at least two days before the property tax due date.

Property taxes can be paid at the Township Office, 8285 Majestic Hills Drive, Camborne, Ontario, during regular business hours.

We accept the following methods of payment:

  • Cash
  • Debit
  • Cheque
  • Post-dated cheque: please note the roll number on your cheque

Important Note: If you are unable to visit during regular business hours, payment can be dropped into the secure drop box located at the main entrance of the Township Office.

Important Note: Please include your bill stub or write your roll number on your cheque.

Access your online banking platform remotely. Add a new Payee and search for 'Hamilton.' From the drop-down menu 'Hamilton Township Taxes' will appear. There may be an alternate abbreviated version of the Township name.

Your account number is your complete 19-digit roll number, beginning with 1419 and ending with 0000.

Important Note: Payments should be made at least two days before the property tax due date.

Complete the Pre-authorized Payment Plan Form to sign up for one of two pre-authorized payment plans. Attach a void cheque or pre-authorized debit form to your application and submit it to the Township by mail, email to the Tax Clerk, or drop off at the Township Office.

Once your application form has been received, you will be notified via email or phone to confirm the arrangement. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact us at 905-342-2810 ext 104.

Important note: Your property tax account must be current and up to date on all payments.

Pre-authorized Payment Plans

When signing up for a pre-authorized payment plan, you have the option of one of two plans:

  • Due Date Payments: three (3) payments per year on the installment due dates (February, June, and September).
  • Monthly Payments: ten (10) payments per year from February until November, withdrawn on the 3rd of the month, or the following business day if the 3rd is a statutory holiday.

Cancelling Pre-authorized Payments

If you are looking to cancel your pre-authorized payments, complete and submit the PAP Cancellation Form.

You can also pick up pre-authorized payment forms at the Township Office.
