Sponsor a Bench or Tree

Many people have a favourite park that holds special meaning to them.  A dedication bench is a way to pay tribute to someone special or to inscribe a positive message that will add uniqueness to the community and provide a tranquil place to stop and rest.

The Township has selected an attractive, durable and accessible bench.  The benches can be placed in Township parks or facilities for all park users to enjoy and appreciate.

Park bench dedication projects include a park bench installed on a concrete base with the option to purchase a brass recognition plaque.

Installation, selection and location of benches within Municipal parks and facilities will be at the discretion of the Manager of Parks and Facilities.

COST- $2000  

A tree dedication is a meaningful way to express sympathy, offer congratulations, leave a legacy for he future and help improve our community and parklands.

Dedication tree projects are income tax deductible.  You will receive a charitable donations receipt upon project completion.

A list of native trees to the Northumberland region, best suitable for parklandwill be referenced as per the Ontario Tree Atlas to determine types of native trees available to purchase.  The size and location of the tree will be at the discretion of the Manager of Parks and Facilities.

COST- $400

Recognition plaques are an option to recognize individuals for their donations.

Tree plaques are 6"x12" grey granite stones mounted flush with the ground.

COST: $200

Bench plaques are 2"x4" brass plaques and will be placed on the back of the bench.
