The Draft Budget was considered at the following virtual meetings:

  • Special Council Budget Meeting #1 (December 3, 2021 at 10:00am)
  • Special Council Budget Meeting #2 (December 15, 2021 at 11:00am)

The public were invited to attend virtual meetings to ask questions during question period and view the proceedings. The public were also invited to email comments to the Treasurer and watch the virtual meetings, which were live-streamed and stored, on the Township's YouTube Channel.

Development Charges Update Study 2021

The 2021 Development Charges Update Study is now available for public viewing. A Special Meeting of Council was held on December 8, 2021 at 1:00pm to hold a public meeting to present and obtain public feedback on the municipality's proposed development charges by-law and underlying background study.

Notice of Passing of Municipal-Wide Development Charges By-law for the Township of Hamilton

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Hamilton passed municipal-wide development charges By-law No. 2022-04 on the 18th day of January, 2022 under section 2 (1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O., 1997 c. 27, as amended;

AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal under section 14 of the Act, in respect of the development charges by-law, by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Hamilton on or before the 28th day of February, 2022 a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the by-law and the reasons supporting the objection.

The schedule of development charges imposed by the by-law, which came into effect on January 18, 2022 is as follows:
