Community Grant Application

The Community Grant Program supports a more vibrant Township by providing project funding to organizations who deliver programs, services, or activities for the community.

To submit your application, please complete the 2024 Community Grant Application

A project should be related to a specific program that is of benefit to Township in terms of economic impact, community responsiveness, and enhancement of the Township’s image and quality of life for the residents.

Projects should be consistent with one or more of Township’s Council Strategic Priorities.

Eligible Project Expenses

  • Operating expenses of the organization not directly related to the proposed project
  • Deficit reduction
Applications are due on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 4 p.m.
  • Applications can be e-mailed, couriered, mailed, or delivered in person.
  • Applications cannot be faxed.
  • Mailed or couriered applications must be postmarked by Canada Post or a courier company no later than the deadline date and time. Applications delivered in person or via e-mail must be submitted by no later than 4 p.m. on the deadline day.
  • Late and incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Budget Schedule

  • 1st Special Council Budget Meeting - Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 10:00am (8285 Majestic Hills Drive, Camborne)
  • 2nd Special Council Budget Meeting - Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 10:00am (8285 Majestic Hills Drive, Camborne)

Both meetings were open to the public to attend in-person at the Township office and were live-streamed on the Township's YouTube Channel. Recordings of the meetings will also be available on the Township's YouTube channel as per the Township's A/V Policy.

Development Charges Update Study 2021

The 2021 Development Charges Update Study is now available for public viewing. A Special Meeting of Council was held on December 8, 2021 at 1:00pm to hold a public meeting to present and obtain public feedback on the municipality's proposed development charges by-law and underlying background study.

Notice of Passing of Municipal-Wide Development Charges By-law for the Township of Hamilton

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Hamilton passed municipal-wide development charges By-law No. 2022-04 on the 18th day of January, 2022 under section 2 (1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O., 1997 c. 27, as amended;

AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal under section 14 of the Act, in respect of the development charges by-law, by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Hamilton on or before the 28th day of February, 2022 a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the by-law and the reasons supporting the objection.

The schedule of development charges imposed by the by-law, which came into effect on January 18, 2022 is as follows:
