Official Plan Update

We are updating Hamilton Township's Official Plan to  reflect the vision for the Municipality and contain policies and act as a framework to guide development within the Township over the long-term.  We will be completing a comprehensive review of the current policies and an update to the Plan to ensure compliance with the Ontario Provincial Planning Statement, the County of Northumberland Official Plan, and the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan as well as other policy statements.  

The public engagement objectives for Hamilton Township are to:

1. Inform residents of the process for updating Hamilton Township's Official Plan
2. Gather public input on land use planning priorities for Hamilton Township as we plan for future growth and development
3. Gather resident and stakeholder feedback about topics for review in Hamilton Township's Official Plan
