    Environment Canada has issued a Special Air Quality Statement for Northumberland County due to wildfire smoke. Residents are encouraged to take precautions to protect their health and stay informed through the HKPR District Health Unit and Environment Canada’s alert services.   • Daytime Burning Restriction in Effect

    A reminder to all residents of the Township of Hamilton that beginning April 1, 2025, daytime burning is not permitted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. seven days a week, including holidays. Agricultural and Commercial day time burns must be approved by the Fire Department. To review the complete Open Air Burn By-law and to obtain a burn permit, please visit ht.burnpermits.com
