  • Winter Parking Hours in Effect - Help Keep Our Roads Safe This Winter

    The Township of Hamilton has a winter parking ban from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. – seven days a week including holidays.

    As of November 1, the Township of Hamilton’s Winter Parking Hours are in effect. To support safe and efficient snow clearing, please remember: No vehicles, trailers, equipment, or materials may be parked or placed on Township roads or right-of-ways between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

  • Township of Hamilton Kicks Off Local Government Week

    The Township of Hamilton is excited to celebrate Local Government Week from October 13–19, 2025! This week shines a light on the people and services that keep our community running smoothly every day. Join us for Community Connect Day on Friday, October 17, at the Baltimore Recreation Centre for informational booths, a “Touch-a-Truck” display, free public skating, and fun family activities. Residents can also take part in a Township-wide Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win prizes and follow along online as we spotlight our departments throughout the week. It’s all about connection, transparency, and community pride, come see how local government works for you!

  • Harwood Waterfront Concept Landscape Designs – Feedback Invited Until October 24

    The Township of Hamilton invites residents to review and share their thoughts on the proposed Conceptual Landscape Plans for the future development of the Harwood Waterfront.

    A Community Open House, hosted by Basterfield and Associates, was held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Harwood Memorial Hall. Township staff and project consultants were available to answer questions, discuss design concepts, and gather community feedback.

    Residents who were unable to attend are encouraged to review the Concept Plans online and submit feedback by email to info@hamiltontownship.ca no later than Thursday, October 24, 2025.

  • Creighton Heights Water System Update – Annual Free Chlorination - End

    The Creighton Heights Water Treatment Plant has completed its annual fall maintenance and is switching back to chloramination for water disinfection this week. Water remains safe to drink. Kidney dialysis patients should ensure their equipment is compatible with chloramines, and aquarium owners must continue using an alternative water source.

  • Community Open House - Harwood Waterfront Landscape Concept Plans

    The Township of Hamilton invites residents to join staff at a Community Open House hosted by Basterfield and Associates on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Harwood Memorial Hall, 5453 Front Street, Harwood. During this session, residents will have the opportunity to review the proposed Conceptual Landscape Plans for the future development of the Harwood Waterfront.

  • “Saved by the Beep” - September 28 is Test Your Smoke Alarm Day

    The Township of Hamilton is proud to support the annual “Saved by the Beep” campaign, a province-wide initiative that highlights the importance of working smoke alarms in every home. Saturday, September 28, 2025, residents are encouraged to take a few moments to test all smoke alarms in their homes.
