Northumberland County is excited to announce the opening of the Port Hope Medical Walk-in Clinic on August 17, 2024. This one-year pilot project, in partnership with the Community Health Centres of Northumberland, aims to improve primary care access for residents without a family doctor. Community Works Food Bank has been in operation in the Township of Hamilton since 2006.

Located in the Bewdley Community Centre, 7060 Lake Street, Bewdley.

Community Works is a registered charity operated entirely by volunteers and relies on funds and food donations from individuals, churches, service clubs, and corporations, rather than government or United Way support. It serves 60 to 70 households each week, impacting 120 to 190 men, women, and children. In addition to providing food, the organization also offers clothing and small housewares. Community Works prepares Christmas hampers annually for clients. The food supply is partially supported by Food4All, a program operated by Northumberland County.
