Township of Hamilton Cycling Plan

The Township of Hamilton is working to create a more comfortable environment for members of the community to cycle. The plan will strengthen and support cycling by:

  • Creating a vision to guide and inform development of the Cycling Plan;
  • Identifying gaps and needs in the existing cycling network;
  • Selecting preferred cycling routes and route types (e.g. multi-use trails, bike lanes);
  • Defining policies and guidelines to direct cycling network implementation;
  • Outlining programs and initiatives to inform, educate and promote safe cycling in Hamilton Township; and
  • Providing a strategy and cost estimate to implement the plan.

By working together to create a more bicycle-friendly community, we can provide options for healthy, active living and more ways for people to move so they don’t have to drive.

Please complete our online survey and/or attend the upcoming public meeting (date to be announced). We look forward to hearing what you have to say!
