Parks and Recreation Committee

The Parks and Recreation Committee is the co-ordinating Committee for all parks and recreational facilities. The Township has a limited amount of money that they can place towards parks and recreation. This Committee ensures that all funds are allocated in a manner that ensures that our facilities are continually upgraded and that our playgrounds are safe and regularly improved.

The Committee consists of three persons from within the Township plus the Chairperson or designate of all of the Boards or Committees relating to parks and recreation.

The Committee takes a tour of all parks in the Township once per year and makes recommendations on all works that are required operating and capital. They particularly check for safety issues.

Our Parks and Recreation Department or the volunteer Committees that have been established for most of our parks or facilities implement all recommendations.
