Old Camborne School and Playground Commitee

The Old Camborne School and Playground Committee has been responsible for many of the improvements at the renovated one-room school, which has been restored because of its historical significance. They have also completed many projects in the playground area including a multi-purpose pad and the installation of children’s playground equipment. Their efforts saved the park and old school house for the community.

The Committee meets monthly to ensure the upkeep & maintenance of the buildings and to co-ordinate the use of the schoolhouse.  You will always find children of all ages enjoying the park and the community benefits from using the schoolhouse.  In addition to the annual events, it is used in a variety of ways...from birthday parties and other social functions to aerobic classes, youth drama club and soon to be sewing club.

Once again the annual community BBQ and Corn Roast last September was an overwhelming success allowing Camborne's neighbours, friends and family to renew acquaintances while enjoying the complimentary food. 

The Old Camborne School can be rented for small events such as Children’s Birthday parties.
