Standing Committees of Council

 The Council of the Township of Hamilton conducts business in an open and transparent fashion. Most business of the municipality comes before Council through one of the Standing Committees and Committee of the Whole.

Standing Committees receive minutes from assigned advisory committees, review managment team reports and make recommendations to Committee of the Whole regarding the disposition of managment team reports.

The role of advisory committees reporting to Standing Committees is to initiate and provide recommendatons on their areas of responsibility, to provide advice and information on their area(s) of expertise and to carry out responsibilities assigned by Council.
